Vision Quest

Program

Vision Quest is a team leadership building and self-exploration program designed to give youth the chance to travel the USA, while visiting university campuses, competing in team sports on a national level. Teams will have the chance to live abroad for tow weeks during the summer. Each team will travel cross country to stimulate their individual interest in college, world missions and a host of cross-cultural opportunities to grow both spiritually and mentally.

Service Model

Teens typically find out about the program through their coaches, youth pastors and other family friends. Service teams are formed and projects dates are planned for each team that wish to serve over the summer months. Teams usually plan trips for about ten days in length. A regular service week will consist of daily vocational bible studies and children outreach programs. Also teens will get the chance to visit major attractions while on the trip.

Goals

Give teens a platform to showcase their God given talents and the chance to volunteer for summer outreach projects that make a difference in the lives on many disadvantage children.

Benefits

Teens will benefit in the following ways:

Enhance individuals understanding of the opportunities available on a national level

Expand individuals awareness of what God is doing in the lives of other urban people

Broaden individuals understanding of cultural and racial expressions of Christianity

Sharpen individuals understanding of the importance of education and college requirements
