Sons of David Club
Program
The Son’s of David and Club David programs are designed to give young boys the opportunity to experience a life changing mentor/mentee relationship with adult coaches and business men. After receiving leadership training youth will serve as peer mentors and educators to other disadvantage inner-city youth.
The primary goals of programs are to share God’s Word with age-appropriate methods to young men, providing a platform for the Holy Spirit to produce heart changes and a ministry mindset, which will lead them to serve their community and the world. Each program is school or community agency based mentor programs dedicated to providing young men weekly bible studies, monthly activities, scholarships opportunities and positive Christian male role models.
Service Model
Christian coaches are paired with a team of 5 to 10 teen boys for a period of 4-6 months. Each team has 2-3 adult coaches who follow the MCCA schedule of devotionals, group outings and special events program schedule. Goals
Identify godly men willing to commit to mentoring a team of young men for a season, while giving teens the chance to experience a positive relationship with adult male role models.
Program Benefits
Teen boys 12-16 year of age will benefit in the following ways:
Broaden individuals understanding of cultural and racial expressions of Christianity
Sharpen individuals understanding of the importance of education and college requirements
Eliminate individual ignorance's, stereo types and racial tensions
Boys will be exposed to career and educational opportunities outside of their community
Teens will teach leadership and bible principles to other peers through Bible studies
